International Applicants

Applying from Overseas

We are able to sponsor visa applications from international applicants who would be coming on a Charity Worker visa (Temporary Work). This means we are licensed to accept students requiring this kind of visa to come to the UK. International students requiring this visa:

  • Will only be able to apply for unpaid apprenticeships and internships as part of St. Marks Academy

  • Will not be eligible to work in any other paid work whilst in the UK

  • Must be 18 years or older when applying

  • Will have to pay the UK government £298 to apply for your visa and usually an additional £1,035 healthcare surcharge

  • Must have enough money to support yourself whilst in the UK - which will usually be at least £1,270 (US$1,580 at time of writing)

Next steps

If you are able to meet these international applicant requirements, or would like to chat to us to clarify anything, please book onto our Online Open Day on Thursday 6 June, or let us know you’d need another time, both using the form above.

From there, if you decided to apply, you’d use our online application form to apply to St. Marks Academy. If you successfully passed the application and interview stages for Academy and for the placement church, we would then give you the details needed to apply for your visa. Visa applications usually take around 3 weeks to be processed.

We’d love to help you to figure out if this is a place God is leading you to, so book onto our Online Open Day or get in touch using the Open Day form above!
